This qualification is competence-based, candidates must demonstrate the level of the competence described in the 5 units.
Assessment is the process of measuring a candidate’s skill, knowledge and understanding against the standards set in the qualification.
Each candidate is required to produce a portfolio of evidence that demonstrates their achievement of all of the learning outcomes and assessment criteria for each unit.
Learning outcomes set out what a candidate is expected to know, understand or be able to do.
The times it takes to complete the NVQ is entirely dependant on how soon you can gather the evidence to finish the qualification. There is no set time limit; you can complete it in your own time.
Many learners who complete the Level 7 NVQ have the evidence ready to complete some of the units. If you want to finish quickly, you can work with your assessor to gather the remaining evidence.
If you have a busy work schedule, you can work the NVQ around your workload. The qualification is highly flexible; you can schedule visits and call your assessor to suit you.
The Level 7 Diploma in Strategic Health & Safety Management and Leadership qualification is aimed at candidates who are responsible for developing and applying health and safety procedures day-to-day in any organisation. They are likely to be managers looking to improve their knowledge and skills.
