Overview

This course is aimed at anyone who undertakes work at height, or who employs people who regularly work at height in construction. It covers what constitutes work at height, the safety issues, and how to assess and reduce some of the risks.

The Work at Height Regulations 2005 require employers to ensure that employees are provided with adequate information and training before conducting any work at height.

This course has been designed to enable the employer to meet their legal obligations under the regulations and enable the employee to undertake the training at a time suitable to them.

– Hierarchy of Control for Work at Height

– Roofing Hazards including Skylights & Fragile Roofs

– Edge Protection Awareness

– Netting Awareness

– Falling Materials

– MEWP Safety Awareness

– Scaffold Safety Awareness

– Ladders / Stepladders / Hop-ups / Platforms Safety Awareness

Assessment

A CITB Working At Height Awareness In Construction certificate is awarded to all those who attend the course and successfully complete the assessment.

Understanding of the course material is evaluated by means of a written assessment paper.

Any employee who is required to carry out any work at height as part of their duties.
